The Roman Catholic Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and the multi-faith Royal Order of Francis (Francesco) I are ancient and internationally recognised dynastic Orders of Knighthood. The Constantinian Order has as its principal mission, the defence and promotion of the Roman Catholic faith. Yet today, through its partnership with its sister dynastic order, the Royal Order of Francis I, both orders jointly undertake spiritual, humanitarian, hospitaller and charitable projects across the world. Whilst the Constantinian Order consists of knights and dames who profess the Roman Catholic faith only, followers of other Christian demoniations as well as Muslims and Jews are among the membership roll of the Royal Order of Francis I.

The Grand Magistral Delegation for Inter-Religious Relations of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and the Royal Order of Francis I was founded in April 2006. Its purpose is to bring together the activities of those knights and dames of all faiths and demoniations across the world who have played a role in, or wish to become involved with, the significant and growing inter-religious work undertaken by the Order’s Grand Magistry and its local and national delegations throughout the world. At its core are activities aimed at fostering greater understanding, respect, tolerance and cohabitation among all Christian denominations and the Muslim and Jewish faith communities. Since 2000, inter-religious activities have already been taken place across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Among Roman Catholic Orders of Chivalry, it is thought that the Constantinian Order is the first among them to formally enshrine within its structures the pursuit of greater inter-church and inter-faith dialogue and understanding among the followers of faith. The current Grand Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations is HE Anthony Bailey who will serve in office for a statutory three period from 2006-2009.
HRH Prince Ferdinando of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, is the current Grand Master of the dynastic Orders and is Head of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies. The Grand Prefect is HRH Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria. The Grand Master is supported by a Royal Deputation within the Order’s Grand Magistry in Rome.

Headquartered within the Grand Magistry in Rome with a representative chancery in London, the Grand Magistral Delegation for Inter-Religious Relations of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and the Royal Order of Francis I, whilst deeply rooted in its ancient and illustrious past, is actively engaged with the challenges of modern society.
